Martin, Kayleigh, Nicki and guests had a great time at “Bristol: 100 Years in Music and Film” - a fabulous celebration of our wonderful city and a truly memorable event at Bristol Beacon.
Empica were among the sponsors of the concert which twinned an in-depth dive into the vaults of Bristol Archives, featuring rare and captivating cine footage of Bristol over the decades, with a beautiful performance from Bristol Youth Orchestra of works by Holst, Vaughan Williams, and Florence Price, plus a premiere of a new composition by Sandie Middleton.
Congratulations to David Parker and Bob Pitt for jointly producing the fascinating visual narrative; to Clive Burlton of Bristol Books CIC for the idea and organisation, to Sandie Middleton on the premiere of her lovely “Bristol Spirit”; and to the talented Bristol Youth Orchestra and its dedicated leaders for providing such a delightful soundtrack for this milestone concert.
